Speaking personally, Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online was a tonic I needed that arrived at just the right time. However, this game clearly shows the improvement the series had so far.

It has a story that as is customary in the series fulfills its task of entertaining and pulling one smile in your face, is not an epic and legendary story, but of course this is very good.

In technical matters this game makes good use of the UE4 showing a great evolution compared to other games of the saga.

Try turning off the ps4 config in controller settings. I still wouldn't recommend this over VII, unless you don't like turn-based games.
